About Sharptek Supply
Sharptek Supply is a U.S.-based private label brand, specializing in the sale of various high-end HVAC, Fireplace and Home equipment replacement parts. The company utilizes a dropshipping model and has a large product catalog, sourced directly from suppliers.
Despite its strong foundation on its Magento website, Sharptek Supply was looking to expand its product reach onto major marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, and Walmart. The main challenge was creating an efficient integration solution that allowed real-time inventory sync, seamless order management, and automated product listings across multiple channels.
Our Approach
Product Data Feed Preparation:
Challenge: Given Sharptek Supply’s dropshipping model, we had to integrate a large supplier’s product catalog without physical inventory management. This meant finding a way to ensure real-time synchronization of stock levels and accurate product information across all channels. Solution: We began by creating a robust product data feed to handle their large product catalog. By uploading CSV files directly to the Magento backend, we were able to:- Prepare large product feeds for easy uploading to Magento. Each product feed contained all essential attributes such as product names, descriptions, pricing, and technical specifications.
- Conduct in-depth category mapping for eBay, Amazon, and Walmart. This process involved identifying the most relevant categories for each marketplace and tailoring the product attributes to meet the specific requirements of each platform (e.g., including certain technical specs required by Walmart).
- Implemented a real-time inventory sync. By integrating with the supplier’s inventory management system, we were able to automate regular inventory updates (several times a day) to ensure that stock levels on Magento, eBay, Amazon, and Walmart remained accurate.
M2E PRO Integration for Smarter Listing Management:
We needed a scalable way to list products across multiple marketplaces while keeping inventory updated and orders processed efficiently from a single platform. Manual listing management was too labor-intensive and inefficient. We implemented M2E PRO, a multi-channel extension for Magento that provides seamless integration with marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, and Walmart.- Listing Automation: By configuring M2E PRO, we automated the listing process. This included defining marketplace-specific policies for pricing, shipping, returns, and more. The solution enabled us to list 20,000+ products across the three marketplaces.
- Real-time Inventory Sync: M2E PRO allowed us to synchronize stock levels across all marketplaces, ensuring that listings were automatically updated whenever stock changed at the supplier level. This eliminated the risk of overselling or stockout issues, enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Order Management: The integration also brought centralized order processing. Orders from eBay, Amazon, and Walmart were imported directly into Magento, allowing Sharptek’s team to manage fulfillment from a single dashboard. Shipping updates were automatically sent back to the relevant marketplaces, reducing manual intervention.
Custom Branding: eBay Template, Amazon Storefront, and A+ Content:
Our design team worked closely with Sharptek Supply to create cohesive and visually appealing branding across all platforms. The goal was to ensure that the branding on eBay, Amazon, and Walmart was consistent with their Magento site, creating a unified shopping experience.- eBay Storefront & Custom Templates: We designed a custom eBay store template that highlighted the private label nature of the brand and emphasized trust, quality, and reliability. The template was clean, user-friendly, and optimized for mobile viewing.
- Amazon Brand Store & A+ Content: We set up an Amazon Brand Storefront, allowing Sharptek to showcase its products in a dedicated, branded environment. Additionally, we implemented A+ content for individual listings, enhancing product descriptions with richer images, detailed feature lists, and comparison charts, which resulted in increased conversion rates.
Paid Promotions and Advertising Campaigns:
Sharptek Supply needed a strategy to drive traffic and conversions for thousands of listings. However, it was essential to maintain a cost-effective advertising spend, especially with the large catalog of products. We implemented targeted advertising campaigns on eBay, Amazon, and Walmart to boost product visibility.- Standard Paid Promotions: We launched paid promotions to generate awareness for the products across all three marketplaces. This helped boost traffic and brought in initial sales quickly.
- Advanced PPC Campaigns: For long-term sustainable growth, we launched PPC campaigns on Amazon and eBay. These campaigns were structured with ad groups focused on different product categories. Each ad group targeted highly relevant keywords with a strong potential for conversions.
- Brand-based campaigns: Targeted buyers looking for specific brands carried by Sharptek, ensuring their listings appeared at the top of search results.
- Generic keyword campaigns: We targeted broader, non-brand-specific keywords to capture a wider audience looking for new or alternative products.
- Competitor-based campaigns: We also experimented with targeting competitors’ brand names to capture customers searching for higher-end alternatives at more competitive prices.
Continuous Campaign Monitoring and Optimization:
We conducted continuous performance monitoring and A/B testing across all platforms to ensure Sharptek’s campaigns remained cost-effective and high-performing. A/B Testing: We tested different ad formats, A+ content, and keyword groups. By analyzing metrics such as CTR (Click-Through Rate), conversion rates, and ACOS (Advertising Cost of Sales), we identified areas for improvement and optimized accordingly. Regular Campaign Adjustments: Based on performance data, we regularly updated PPC campaigns, adding new keywords or adjusting bids to maximize ROI. Impact: Through continuous optimization, we ensured that Sharptek Supply maintained a cost-effective advertising spend while driving significant revenue growth.Results:
