About SBQ USA
SBQ, a USA-based Arabian perfume stockist, was struggling with their eBay and Amazon sales. Their goal was to move their stock quickly, import new fragrances in bulk, and offer them at competitive prices. They sought a strategy that allowed full control of advertising spend while maintaining consistent sales with a targeted Advertising Cost of Sales (ACOS).
Our eBay experts crafted a six-month plan involving organic optimization, paid campaigns, and listing enhancement to deliver better ROI.
Our Approach
Shopify to eBay and Amazon Integration through Marketplace Connect:
At eStore Ninja, we always adopt smarter solutions to reduce repetitive tasks, allowing us to focus more on campaign improvement and in-depth analysis. SBQ USA was managing its eBay and Amazon listings manually, even though they already had a Shopify website.
Solution: We suggested using the Shopify Marketplace Connect app to streamline their operations across eBay and Amazon, enabling them to manage everything from Shopify itself.
Migration & Configuration: We migrated all live eBay and Amazon listings into Marketplace Connect and implemented the proper configurations. This ensured that all processes were streamlined while retaining the current sales performance.
Automated Sync: With this integration, SBQ could now create new eBay/Amazon listings, automate stock synchronization, and process all orders from Shopify. This automation eliminated the need to manually manage each platform, reducing human error and speeding up processes.
Customized PPC Campaigns:
In the perfume industry, new fragrances are constantly evolving, which means we needed a strategy to move stock quickly while maintaining the required ROI.
We used eBay’s Advanced PPC campaigns to target a variety of audiences with different search behaviors to drive quick sales. The campaigns focused on three different targeting strategies:
Brand-Based Campaigns:
- Campaign Objective: To ensure that SBQ’s listings appear at the top of search results when potential buyers are actively looking for specific brands that SBQ sells.
- Ad Groups: Each ad group represented one perfume brand, and we used brand-specific keywords to target potential buyers.
- Goal: Stay visible to those interested in particular brands and secure sales from users who are already familiar with those brands. This approach helped us drive both new sales and repeat customers as long as we maintained competitive pricing, quick delivery, and positive customer feedback.
Generic/Broad Keywords Campaigns:
- Campaign Objective: Target audiences who were looking to explore new perfumes or brands, rather than a specific one.
- Strategy: We targeted generic keywords that didn’t include any brand names, and displayed our best-selling perfumes with proven sales histories. This helped build trust and reach new potential buyers, expanding our customer base beyond brand-loyal consumers.
Competitor-Based Keywords Campaigns:
- Campaign Objective: Target potential buyers interested in big perfume brands, especially those that SBQ’s products were inspired by.
- Brands Targeted: Brands such as Fragrance World and Lattafa often produce fragrances inspired by popular perfume brands but at lower prices.
- Strategy: We monitored trends and buying patterns to identify opportunities for converting potential buyers. With competitor-based keywords, we were able to achieve new sales by offering a similar fragrance experience at a more affordable price, thus persuading customers to try new brands.
Off-Site Ads:
eBay Off-Site Ads is a newer ad format that integrates eBay listings into Google Shopping and other Google partner search networks. We experimented with off-site ads to understand which brands performed best on Google Shopping and used these insights to optimize campaign settings for the best ROI.
Listing Enhancement with Custom Template Design:
Having a visually engaging listing is vital for a product like perfumes, where aesthetics significantly influence buying decisions. We created a custom eBay template that emphasized high-quality images, included detailed product descriptions, and showcased key selling points. This increased buyer trust, minimized bounce rates, and maximized product appeal, which helped drive conversions.
Continuous Analysis and Campaign Improvement:
Campaigns need constant adjustment to keep ACOS in check while achieving desired growth. We continuously made experiments and improvements for each campaign by:
- Analyzing keyword performance, click-through rates, and sales conversion rates.
- Adjusting the target keywords (brand-specific, generic, and competitor-based).
- Monitoring and tweaking the off-site campaigns to optimize brand visibility on Google Shopping.
- Sales Growth: We successfully increased SBQ’s sales from $6K per month to $25-30K per month.
- Streamlined Operations: Shopify Marketplace Connect integration allowed SBQ to automate listings, inventory sync, and order processing, which greatly reduced manual effort and errors.
- Targeted Advertising: The mix of brand-based, generic, and competitor-based PPC campaigns, coupled with off-site advertising, helped SBQ efficiently target new audiences, capture competitor market share, and improve ROI.
Results Achieved:
Conclusion:
The combination of listing optimization, custom templates, automated integrations, and targeted advertising campaigns resulted in a major turnaround for SBQ USA. By implementing a tailored sales growth strategy, we not only increased their monthly sales but also enhanced their overall operational efficiency and reduced their advertising costs relative to sales. Our six-month growth plan showed how a blend of smart tools, detailed analysis, and proactive campaign management could significantly transform eBay sales for niche products like Arabian perfumes.
